2009 Home Schedule
World TeamTennis always offers fans plenty of thrills, but it is extra exciting in the USTA Missouri Valley, home to three WTT franchises -- the St. Louis Aces, Kansas City Explorers and Springfield Lasers. For three weeks each july, professional tennis players make their way through the Section, bringing some of the finest and funnest tennis around.
Notable players including Pete Sampras, Serena Williams, Andy Roddick, Martina Hingis, Anna Kournikova and the Bryan Brothers have all graced the section in the past with their presence.
The three teams from the Missouri Valley also compete annually for the "Show-Me Cup", a friendly but intense intrastate competition with a tennis twist. The Kansas City Explorers claimed the Cup in 2008, taking the crown from the two-time champion Springfield Lasers.
