Call for Volunteers for the Junior Competition Sanction and Schedule Sub-Committe from the following USTA Missouri Valley Districts: Heart of America, Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa

NOTE: STANDINGS LISTS incorporate player records dating back 12 months.

Standings Lists will now be published weekly on Wednesday in order to mirror the publishing of the USTA National Standings Lists. Publishing on Wednesdays will also allow us to incorporate weekend tournaments in a more efficient manner.

Reminder:   Applications for 2010 Segment I Age Up Wildcards and Playing Up Waivers are due by the end of the day on November 29. Please contact Renae Friedrichsen at friedrichsen@movalley.usta.com with any questions.

Missouri Valley Finishes Fourth at Slammin' 10s Intersectional Team Rally

The 4th Annual Slammin' 10s Intersectional Team Rally was recently held in Arlington, Texas. The other sections participating were Texas, Southwest, Midwest, and Intermountain. The USTA Missouri Valley finished fourth.

2009 Sweet 16 Champions Crowned

Despite stifling heat and intermittent rain showers, the USTA Missouri Valley Segment II, Sweet 16 Championships were held June 19-21 in Kansas City. In all, 30 champions were crowned at the event.

Vialle and Withrow Claim Junior Open Titles

Over 100 of the USTA Missouri Valley's top junior competitors traveled across the country to compete in the May National Opens, the ticket to the second national championship. Two Missouri Valley juniors claimed singles crowns. Jackson Withrow (Omaha, Neb.) won the boys 16 singles title in Norman, Okla., as well as finishing fourth in the doubles event.

The USTA Missouri Valley section took home one doubles titles at the USTA Junior National Opens, which were held at several sites around the country last weekend. The boys 18s championships took place back in March.
