Any player who completes the Self Rate Questionnaire and receives an assigned rating higher than the player expects, they may submit a SELF RATE APPEAL. This is done electronically at the conclusion of the self rate process. |

EARLY START RATINGS APPEALS FOR THE 2010 LEAGUE SEASON - Missouri Valley Section will publish Early Start Ratings for the 2010 League Season sometime during the first week of September 2009. These ratings will be published on the missourivalley.usta.com website. Players who are registering for league teams and wish to appeal their early start rating may do so at the time of registration using the Auto-Appeal function in TennisLink.
2009 YEAR END RATINGS
Year End Ratings are published each year in TennisLink Leagues “Find a Rating,” usually the first week of December. These ratings are valid for 2 or more years depending on the age of the player. Any Player wishing to appeal their rating may do so by completing the Auto-Appeal Function on TennisLink Leagues, “Find a Rating.”
MEDICAL APPEALS Permanently disabling injury or illness:
Players may appeal their rating due to a permanent disabling injury or illness using the listed criteria.
A player granted a medical appeal is subject to dynamic NTRP disqualification.
Injury or illness must have occurred after the year-end rating was achieved.
Written request to the Chairman of the appropriate Medical Review Committee.
Must be accompanied by an Attending Physician’s Evaluation of the injury and all other substantiating information including the prognosis for recovery with a timeline.
The section association shall utilize a Medical Review Committee to evaluate all medical appeals; and, if the injury/illness is deemed permanently disabling, the appeal will be forwarded to the National Medical Appeal Committee for a final decision rendered in writing.
NON-BENCHMARK- A player who did not participate in a championship at any level.
BENCHMARK- A player who participated in a championship, including district, section or national.
*Players must submit both forms with appeal!
