The participants of the USTA National Women’s 65, 75, 85 Indoor Championships proved that age doesn't matter when it comes to tennis skills. The national tournament took place May 29-June 3 at Midtown Tennis Club in Overland Park, Kansas with more than 50 competitors from all over the country.
Several participants defended their titles with both Brenda Carter (65 singles) and Rita Price (85 singles) winning in consecutive years. Carter and her doubles partner, Betty Wachob, also repeated as 65 doubles champions while Dorothy Matthiessen was once again one-half of the winning 75 doubles team. Matthiessen played with Lynn Little this year after winning with Burnett Herrick in 2011. Full results are posted below.
